In recent years, Chiavari has become well-known for its events and festivals. Some are established monthly or annual dates while others are one-offs held mostly in the summer tourist season.

Chiavari in Fiore: for two days, the old town is literally covered in plants and flowers.
Festival della Parola (Festival of Words): for four days, the old town comes alive with poetry and literature and testimonies of famous people.
The Antiques Market: which draws exhibitors from central and northern Italy, but also foreigners from France and Germany. The market stands out as one of the main events in Liguria.
Mercatino dei Sapori e delle Tradizioni (Market of Flavours and Traditions): here, you can taste and buy typical products from different Italian regions.
